Custom Scripting

Description

Do you have an idea but no clue how to implement it? You are not alone. Most people would like to take control of their investing but do not have enough time to learn all the intricacies that are required to write useful scripts in ThinkScript. That’s where we come in. We can use the years of knowledge gained from writing ThinkScript and using ThinkOrSwim to help explore possible solutions and write the needed codes.

Is It Possible?

Not sure whether what you want to do is possible? We encourage you to reach out to us using the “Contact Us” button on the website and describe your goal. We will let you know whether it is possible and, if so, the other pertinent details of the project, all free of charge.

Cost

The rate is $50 per hour, and we ask for 2 hours up front. As the project progresses, we will communicate with you regarding the amount of time that has accumulated. For large projects, you may receive invoices as the project progresses. Once we near the conclusion of the project, we will send you the final invoice, which will have to be paid before the code is released. The cost is highly variable based on the complexity of the code requested, but an average person should expect to pay no less than $300. Once we have a complete understanding of the project, we can work to provide an expected cost range.

Turnaround Time

To avoid unnecessary issues, we strive to completely understand the task and formulate our thoughts around it before beginning the project. We will also test the code over numerous days to flush out any issues that may exist. Therefore, you should expect a turnaround time between 1-2 weeks at the earliest.

Communication

Good communication is key to getting the end product you desire at the expected price. Poor communication often results in higher costs for you and a longer process. Therefore, we often ask numerous questions to make sure we fully understand what you are looking for. We encourage clients to provide as much information as possible. If a question is not fully understood, please do not hesitate to ask us to clarify.

Satisfaction

While we make every effort to produce the solution the client is looking for, there are times where a satisfactory conclusion may not be reached. On rare occasions, we’ll get to a point where a limitation in the brokerage software may reduce the client’s satisfaction. Other times, poor communication results in an end product that is different than what the client was expecting. We will always continue to work with you to reach full satisfaction. However, when doing custom coding, the costs relate to the time spent on the project. Therefore, the costs will continue to accrue and will have to be paid before the final code is released.

Final Product

Upon completion, the final code will be provided on a Microsoft Word document, and we will provide written and/or video instructions on how to get the code into your ThinkOrSwim system and manipulate the variables for your liking. Should you run into difficulties, we will provide a list of common issues to check free of charge. After that, set-up assistance will be charged at the same rate, with a minimum of 1 hour paid up front.

Billing

We use various billing methods that result in the lowest fees for our clients. We do not use Venmo, cryptocurrency, or any other unregulated form of payment.

Refunds

Because the costs relate to the time already spent, refunds cannot be issued. We will always continue to work with you to reach a satisfactory conclusion.
